American tennis player John Isner set a world record for the number of aces in a career, according to the press service of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Isner in Friday’s Wimbledon third round match against Italian Yannick Sinner had 13,729 innings throughout his career. According to this indicator, he has bypassed the former Croatian record holder Ivo Karlovic, who has 13,728 aces.
The ATP has kept statistics on rounds since 1991.
Isner is the winner of 24 ATP tournaments, in 2018 the American ranked eighth in the world rankings. At the moment, the 37-year-old tennis player is on the 24th line.
