Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFT) Alexey Selivanenko believes that Andrei Rublev lost in the final of the Masters Series tournament in Shanghai due to a momentary loss of concentration.
Rublev lost to Pole Hubert Hurkacz with a score of 3:6, 6:3, 6:7 (8:10).
“It was an excellent final and some magnificent and powerful tennis played by some of the leaders on the tour. Rublev was one goal away from winning the tournament. But tennis is tennis, and this is the case when a second loss of concentration can decide the outcome of the final. Well, of course, Hurkacz’s performance should be noted. “Hubert once again confirmed that it is not for nothing that he is one of the leaders of the tour in terms of the number of innings thrown in the air,” Selivanenko said in “Championship”.
