The Ukrainian played in tandem with the Brazilian Matush
Ukrainian Ludmila Kichenok and Brazilian Rafael Matos were defeated in the first round match mixed doubles tournament at Wimbledon.
Kichenok and Matush lost in straight sets to Beatriz Haddad-Maya and Bruno Soares from Brazil. The duel lasted an hour and a half.
For the entire match, the Ukrainian-Brazilian pair converted one of four breakpoints, giving the opponents three games on their serve. Also Kichenok and Matush made three double faults.
Recall that Kichenok and Matush also performed in a duet at Roland Garros 2022. They left the mixed doubles competition at the 1/8 final stage.
Earlier, Lyudmila Kichenok and Elena Ostapenko advanced to the second round of Wimbledon doubles. Tomorrow the Ukrainian-Latvian duo will play against the Netherlands Arianne Hartono and Demi Schurs.
