Athletistic / Tennis. Russia’s first racket, Daria Kasatkina, said she was tired of constant flights from tournament to tournament.
“I flew to the Masters and the organizers meet players from only one airport. Therefore, I played in Tokyo last night, but it was simply impossible to leave from there in the evening. Therefore , I had to fly out the next day at 10 a.m. I had to fly here early because I had to play tomorrow… Honestly, I’m just tired. Playing tennis is the simplest thing we do. Everything else is meaningless.
I can’t travel as much anymore, constantly packing my things somewhere… All these planes, these moves… When you can’t communicate with people from different countries, constantly changing beds, constantly packing and unpacking your suitcases, we’re just tired. I can’t do this anymore. My body is telling me to fuck off. For the third time in a month and a half, my throat hurts, and in general my condition is no longer clear. Logistically speaking, there is simply no worse sport in the world. It’s completely absurd,” Kasatkina said in The Tennis Letter.
Last week, Daria Kasatkina reached the semi-finals of the WTA-500 tournament in Zhengzhou (China), where she lost to Czech Barbora Krejcikova. This helped her rise to 11th place in the world rankings.
