Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz in the fourth round of the Wimbledon tournament will meet the Italian Yannick Sinner .
This match will be the youngest in terms of the cumulative age of tennis players in the Wimbledon Round of 16 since 1973. On the day of the match, the combined age of Alcaraz and Sinner will be 40.04 years old, according to Sportskeeda. It is also the lowest combined age in a fourth-round Grand Slam match since the 2008 US Open, when Argentina’s Martin Del Potro and Japan’s Kei Nishikori met for the quarter-finals.
Fifth-seeded Alcaraz, who turned 19 in May, will look to beat 21-year-old Sinner.
Alcaraz has won four trophies this year. He won titles in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona and Madrid. The Spaniard has won 35 of his 39 games so far this season.
