The Ukrainian paired with the Hungarian Babos lost to the duet Kristina Mladenovic / Moyuka Uchijima
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Volodko lost in the final of the doubles tournament ITF W100 in Chinese Shenzhen.
The Ukrainian performed together with Timea Babos from Hungary. In the decisive match, the pair met with the first seeds of the tournament, Kristina Mladenovic (France) and Moyuka Uchijima (Japan).
The first set was confidently won by Uchijima and Mladenovic. In the second game, Volodko and Babos twice conceded with a break and returned lost serves, but in the end they lost the 12th game, falling short of the tiebreak.
At the tournament in Zhengzhou, Katerina and Timea easily beat the Georgian-Turkish pair Sofia Shapatava / Eli Yoruk, and then in three sets they were stronger than the Taiwanese-Chinese duo Yen Shuo Liang / Qianui Tan. In the semi-finals, the duo easily beat the pair Sofia Shapatava/Ilay Yoruk (Georgia/Turkey).
Volodko also competed in the Chinese singles tournament. In the quarterfinals, the Ukrainian dramatically lost to seventh seeded Yudis Chong, representing Hong Kong.
