Martha hopes to recover for one of the tournaments in the US
Marta Kostyuk spoke about her injury, due to which she withdrew from the mixed doubles tournament at Wimbledon.
The Ukrainian was injured in the match of the doubles tournament. According to her, the damage is serious, but the operation can be avoided.
“I have a complete rupture of one of the ligaments and another rupture of the second degree of another ligament. They said that you can return without surgery, which I will try to do. I hope that I will return to the Tour at one of the tournaments in America, ”said Kostyuk.
“I really hope that by this moment I will be ready. I don’t know yet what kind of tournament it will be, but in any case I will not return until I am 100% ready. The injury, unfortunately, is very serious and takes time to heal completely.”
In the singles and doubles tournaments at Wimbledon, Kostyuk completed her performances at the second round stage.
