Athletistic / Tennis. The world’s first racket, Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, once again criticized the organization of the WTA final tournament. In 2023, the tournament will take place in Cancun, Mexico.
“I am happy that today I was able to concentrate, overcome the conditions and play well. But I must say that I am very disappointed with the WTA and the current experience of participating in the final tournament. As a player of tennis, I think most girls will agree with me. “It’s not the level of organization you expect when you’re in the final tournament of the year. Honestly, I don’t think it’s safe to travel on this terrain.” We didn’t even have a chance to practice on it until yesterday, this is unacceptable!
Despite everything that has been said, I want to express my gratitude to the local organizers, as well as to everyone who created this short at the last minute, to everyone who works on this event. I know it’s not their fault and I want them, like all Mexican fans, to know that I love and appreciate them. I’m happy to be in Mexico, I’m just upset by the behavior of the WTA and this whole situation,” Sabalenka wrote on her social media page.
Last night, Aryna Sabalenka conceded only one match during the match of the 1st round of the group stage of the WTA final tournament with the Greek Maria Sakkari. The Belarusian and the Greek form the same quartet with the Kazakh Elena Rybakina and the American Jessica Pegula.
