Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev will receive a special bonus from the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for successful performances in ATP 500 tournaments during the 2023 season.
On Sunday, Medvedev lost to Italian Jannik Sinner in the final of the tournament in Vienna. In total, the Russian earned 1,690 points in ATP 500 tournaments, followed by Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (1,480 points), whose reward will be $300,000.
In 2023, Medvedev, 27, won five tournaments: in Rome, Miami, Dubai, Doha and Rotterdam.
At the start of the season, the ATP announced a $1.3 million bonus for the five tennis players with the best results at ATP 500 tournaments.
