Athletistic/Tennis. 20-year-old Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, a two-time Grand Slam champion and world number two, is facing a three-match losing streak for the first time since March 2021.

Alcaraz’s losing streak in 2023 began with the 1/8 finals of the Shanghai Masters tournament, where he lost to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov. There followed a sensational defeat of the Russian Roman Safiullin at the start of the Masters in Paris, and a third defeat in a row at the start of the ATP Finals Championship in Turin, where his opponent was the German Alexander Zverev.

In the second round of the final tournament, Alcaraz (2) will face the 2021 US Open champion and third racket in the world, representative of Russia – Daniil Medvedev (3).
