Athletistic/Tennis. Serbian world number one Novak Djokovic shared his emotions after his defeat against Italian Jannik Sinner (4th world ranking) in the 2nd round match of the group stage of the 2023 ATP Final Tournament in Turin (Italy).
“I think the main difference is that in the important moments Sinner won, today he was more courageous. Yannick deserved this victory because in the important moments I was not aggressive enough, not decisive enough .I gave him the opportunity to take control of the points.
We should all just congratulate Sinner. He just played a fantastic match. That’s exactly what I told him online. I think he showed his best game in the most important moments and absolutely deserved this victory,” Djokovic said according to the ATP press service.
Jannik Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic in three sets with a score of 7:5, 6:7 (5-7), 7:6 (7-2). In the last match of the group stage, the Serbian will face the Pole Hubert Hurkacz and the Italian will face the Dane Holger Rune.
