The Green Group meeting ended with a score of 7:6 (7:1), 4:6, 6:1. The tennis players spent 2 hours and 5 minutes on the court.
Thanks to Hurkacz’s victory against the Serbian, the group leader, Italian Jannik Sinner, secured his place in the semi-finals of the tournament. Sinner is the first Italian to qualify for the final phase playoffs.
In the final match of the group, Denmark’s Holger Rune will face Sinner on Thursday. If he wins, Rune guarantees access to the semi-finals, which will mean an early end to the tournament for Djokovic.
