Athletistic/Tennis. The world’s fourth racket, Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, said he was proud of the past season. The 22-year-old Italian climbed this high in the ATP rankings for the first time.
“Last season there were a lot of positive moments for me. But I also made some mistakes. However, the team and I solved most of the problems.
This season we tried to learn how my body works by increasing the load. I missed some tournaments to work on my training. I think we are doing everything right. In the second half of the season, mentally, I was much, much stronger. I didn’t complain too much when things didn’t go as well as I wanted them to. I think things like this are important.
Every tennis player is different. I can be proud of the way my team and I work together. Now they probably know me better than anyone else because I spend a lot of time with them. They are like family to me. We all got to know each other a little better. I think that’s also very important.
One of the things I can be really happy about is having played a lot of important matches in the biggest stadiums on the ATP Tour. I hope it will help me next year,” Sinner said in a press conference after the 2023 ATP Finals.
Jannik Sinner reached the final of the final tournament in Turin (Italy), but there he lost to the first racket in the world to Serbian Novak Djokovic (3:6, 3:6).
