Athletistic/Tennis. The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has announced the list of winners of the annual prize, awarded at the end of the season. The winners of the different categories will be determined by representatives of the international tennis media.

Vera Zvonareva, a 39-year-old Russian and two-time Grand Slam singles finalist, is nominated in major categories as best women’s singles or doubles player. This season, Zvonareva, together with German Laura Siegemund, won the WTA final championship.

Singles Tennis Player of the Year:

– Iga Szwiatek (Poland);
– Arina Sabalenko (Belarus);
– Corey Gauff (United States);
– Jessica Pegula (United States);
– Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan);
– Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic).

Double duo of the year:

– Corey Gauff/Jessica Pegula (both United States);
– Storm Hunter (Australia)/Elise Mertens (Belgium);
– Barbora Krejcikova/Katerzina Siniakova (Czech Republic);
– Gabriela Dabrowski (Canada)/Erin Routliffe (New Zealand);
– Laura Siegemund (Germany)/Vera Zvonareva (Russia).
