Athletistic/Tennis. Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation and member of the ITF Board of Directors Alexei Selivanenko expressed his assessment of the performance of Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev this year.

“Medvedev himself noted that, without taking into account the Grand Slam tournaments, the season can be considered successful. Despite a difficult start, after Rotterdam, Daniil returned to the top and began a long winning streak. I think when a tennis player finishes the year ranked third in the world, it’s hard to rate him any differently. However, Medvedev always strives to achieve victories in every tournament. There are many tennis players who also set ambitious goals for themselves,” Selivanenko commented to Vprognoze.ru.

This season, 27-year-old Medvedev took third place in the ATP rankings. In singles matches, he recorded 66 wins and 18 losses, won 5 tournaments and earned $9.2 million.
