Statement by Nadia Podoroska

I want to clarify something important about my withdrawal from the tournament in Buenos Aires. I love playing in my country, I did it last year and in Argentina whenever I could. The “calendar change” is no less than closing my season.

I am 26 years old and I have learned to know my body’s signals. My health is my priority over anything and together with my team we decided it would be best to end the year now. I have gone through difficult moments, long periods of not being able to do what I want, and that is something that no one who has experienced it knows.

It was a difficult year, I started very far back in the ranking and finished it inside the Top70, winning my first WTA125. Now I need to rest and have a good preseason to start 2024 in the best way.

Thank you always to those who support me and understand me unconditionally.
