Australian tennis player Nick Kirios backed the Spaniard’s multiple Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal who withdrew from Wimbledon due to injury.
On Thursday, the tournament’s press service announced that the 36-year-old Spaniard would not play the semi-finals against Kyrios, so as not to aggravate the health problems. Nadal said he had a torn abdominal muscle.
“Different players, different personalities. Rafael, I hope your recovery is going well. We want to see you all soon in good health. See you soon,” Kyrios wrote on the social network.
Kyrios reached the Wimbledon final for the first time in his career. In January, the 27-year-old tennis player, ranked 40th in the ATP rankings, became the winner of the Australian Open in doubles.
