The legendary Spanish tennis player has overcome another injury and will try to rise to the top again.
The legend is back. Rafael Nadal says he is about to hit the court again. The former world ranking leader, 22-time Grand Slam winner will play in the ATP 250 hardcourt tournament in Brisbane.
The competition is the first official in the new season and will take place from December 31 to January 7. The prize fund is just over 2 million US dollars.
“After a year away from competition, it’s time to return to the court. I will play in Brisbane in the first week of January 2024. See you there,” said Nadal.

Note that the Spaniard last appeared on court in January 2023 at the Australian Open. At the beginning of the summer, Nadal underwent surgery on the iliopsoas muscle in his left thigh. It was then reported that the Spaniard would need five months to recover.
We remind you that earlier Novak Djokovic confidently won the final ATP tournament.
