Athletistic/Tennis. Former world number two Goran Ivanisevic spoke about Novak Djokovic’s painful reaction after losing to Italian Jannik Sinner in the group stage of the 2023 ATP Finals tournament. This meeting ended in a victory for the Italian with a score of 7:5, 6:7, 7.:6.

“Who am I to be angry with Djokovic? Novak is the best tennis player in history. But yes, sometimes I get angry when he shouts at us for no particular reason.

When he loses, it’s hard to be with him. He finished his first match with Sinner late in the final at Tourir. The next day we didn’t see him at all. Until Thursday, we didn’t even know what was happening to him. We didn’t know if we would return home, if there would be a warm-up for the game against Hurkac, or what to expect. We just sat and waited. I finally found out he would play (smiling).

Like any person, Djokovic is fighting against himself. It’s not easy for him to find motivation. He has already won everything several times, including this season, and finished the year as the number one racket in the world. But Novak still finds motivation. We were patient with him. I came with my family, we went shopping. Wednesday I had a good day with them. And I’m not angry with Novak,” Ivanisevic said, as quoted by Tennis.com.

Note that Djokovic then defeated Sinner in the final of the 2023 ATP Finals tournament in Turin with a score of 6:3, 6:3 and became the winner of this competition for the seventh time.

Notably, Ivanisevic is currently Djokovic’s coach.
