Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov defeated Serbian representative Dusan Lajovic at the North Palmyra Trophies tournament in St. Petersburg.
The Russian, who represents the Lions team at the tournament, beat his opponent from the Sphinxes with a score of 4:6, 7:5, 10:7. The match duration was 1 hour and 32 minutes.
After six matches between representatives of the two teams, the score is equal to 3:3.
Khachanov will play another match on Sunday. Now his opponent will be the representative of France, Adrian Mannarino.
The Northern Palmyra Trophies tournament will take place in St. Petersburg from December 1 to 3 on the courts of the St. Petersburg Arena sports and concert complex. Athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Spain, Serbia, France, Italy and Bulgaria take part in the team tournament.
