The WTA 125 IEB+Argentina Open has earned an Argentine finalist

Lourdés Carlé and Julia Riera reached the semifinals by defeating Frenchwoman Parry and Slovenian Hercog, respectively, and will face each other for a place in the final. In addition, Solana Sierra faces the Brazilian Pigossi.

For his part, Riera (163), born in Pergamino, beat the Slovenian Hercog (292) by 6-3 and 6-4 after an hour and a half of play.

Carlé and Riera will meet later in one of the semifinals, guaranteeing the presence of an Argentine tennis player in Sunday’s finals. The two Argentines had to play twice in one day because yesterday, due to the storm, the whole day was suspended.

Meanwhile, another Argentine, the woman from Mar del Plata Solana Sierra (209)playing against Brazilians Laura Pigossi (137) with transmission TyC Sports.

If she wins, Sierra, 19 years old, will play in the semifinals against Mexican Renata Zarazúa (135), who beat the American Elizabeth Mandlik (113) by 7-6 (4) and 6-1.
