Athletistic/Tennis. Four-time Grand Slam winner and world leader, Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek has been recognized as the “Player of 2023” by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). The annual award, called the WTA Player Award 2023, is awarded based on the vote of international media representatives.

The following tennis players also competed for this title:

– Arina Sabalenko (Belarus);
– Corey Gauff (United States);
– Jessica Pegula (United States);
– Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan);
– Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic).

In the previous season, Swiatek won six titles at the WTA level, including her second consecutive victory at Roland Garros, and also won the WTA Finals. In terms of prize money, Iga became the best on the WTA Tour in 2023, earning $9.86 million from tournaments.
