The Women’s Tennis Association noted the Ukrainian woman’s progress during the year after returning to the court.
Elina Svitolina received a prestigious award during the WTA Awards. The Ukrainian tennis player received a prize in the “Comeback of the Year” category.
“Elina Svitolina spent 12 months away from the WTA Tour to welcome her daughter Sky, born in October 2022, to her family. Svitolina returned to the court in April 2023. Before her pregnancy, Svitolina spent more than 200 consecutive weeks in the top ten and just one month after In a long-awaited return to the court, she won her 17th career title at the WTA 250 in Strasbourg.
