Athletistic/Tennis. Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vitaly Milonov commented on the victory of Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina in women’s singles at the Wimbledon tournament.
“Wimbledon and the Brits cursed each other – they tried to make Russia worse, but now it’s all in one place. They banned the Russians and we won. If they do bad things, they themselves will suffer – it’s karma,” – declared Milonov.
Elena Rybakina is from Moscow. In the final match of Wimbledon, which took place on July 9, Rybakina defeated Tunisian tennis player Uns Jabir with the score 3:6, 6:2, 6:2.
Russian and Belarusian tennis players were not allowed to participate in Wimbledon due to the political situation in Ukraine.
