The Ukrainian-Latvian duo lost to the champions of the 2020 Olympics
Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok and Elena Ostapenko from Latvia failed to reach the doubles final Wimbledon.
In the 1/2 finals, the Ukrainian-Latvian duo lost to the second seeded – Barbora Kreychikova and Katerina Sinyakova. Note that the representatives of the Czech Republic became the champions of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
For the entire match, Kichenok and Ostapenko converted two out of six breakpoints, giving the Czechs six games on their serve. They also made five double faults.
Recall that in early June, Kichenok and Ostapenko reached the semi-finals of Roland Garros, where they lost to the French Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic.
