Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev defeated the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov during a match at the World Tennis League exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi.
The match ended with a score of 6:3 in favor of the Russian. According to the regulations, matches consist of a single set. Later Russian Mirra Andreeva lost to the representative of Belarus Arine Sabalenko – 2:6.
Earlier, Rublev and Daniil Medvedev defeated Dimitrov and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in a doubles match – 7:6 (7:3). Andreeva and American Sofia Kenin lost to the international duo Sabalenka/Paula Badosa (Belarus/Spain) – 3:6. Medvedev and Kenin lost to Tsitsipas and Badosa in mixed doubles – 4:6.
Medvedev, Rublev, Andreeva and Kenin play for the Eagles team, Sabalenko, Badosa, Tsitsipas and Dimitrov for Korshunov. The overall result of the confrontation is 27:22 in favor of Korshunov.
The Falcons and Hawks also compete in the World Tennis League.
