Athletistic/Tennis. Former 1995 Davis Cup finalist Andrei Chesnokov has made his comments on Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko’s statements about how Russians participating in the 2024 Olympics are being treated.

“These statements are pure provocation and nonsense. In general, any statement by Tsurenko should be taken with a grain of salt. I remember when I was coaching Lena Vesnina, Tsurenko told me that she was trying a new racket and everything went so well for her. Later they explained to me that she was just lying to me and constantly deceiving someone,” Chesnokov said according to TASS.

Earlier, Lesya Tsurenko criticized the International Olympic Committee for the participation of Russian athletes in the Paris Olympics.

  • Tsurenko: “I hope Russians will show true patriotism and refuse to participate in the Paris Olympics”
