Two Ukrainian tennis players – Lesya Tsurenko And Marta Kostyuk — planning to take part in the tournament WTA 500which will take place in Adelaide (Australia).
Both athletes are on the alternative list of participants in the event. Tsurenko is second on the list to participate in the main draw, Kostyuk is in eighth position.
The main entry for the event has already included the first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina (No. 25 WTA world ranking) and Angelina Kalinina (No. 28). The tournament will take place from January 8 to January 13, 2024.
Kalinina, together with Marta Kostyuk, will begin the season at a tournament in Brisbane. The first tournament for Svitolina in the new season will be the WTA 250 ASB Classic event in Auckland (New Zealand).
