Rublev said he was ashamed of being too emotional on the pitch

Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev said he would try to control his emotions on the pitch in the new season, as he was often ashamed of his behavior.

For Rublev, the first tournament of the new season will be the competition in Hong Kong, where the Russian received the first seed. The tournament will take place from January 1 to 7.

“After the US Open, I started to feel like I was really improving my game. I didn’t care who I got in the draw. If I’m smart and control my emotions, I’ll have a chance to win any match.

I’m not like everyone else, and when I behave too emotionally on the field, it seems disgusting and shameful. The next step is to be kind to yourself on the field, especially your left knee because it hurts.

The objective of the Hong Kong tournament is to best prepare for the Australian Open. Play as many matches as possible, and if I get far in the tournament, it will be great,” Rublev was quoted as saying by AFP.

Rublev is ranked fifth in the ATP rankings.
