Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva shared her emotions after reaching the quarterfinals of a WTA tournament for the first time in her career.

The 16-year-old Russian, in her second senior season, beat Australian Arina Rodionova on Thursday at the $1.7 million WTA 500 in Brisbane.

“Honestly, I thought I would be very happy after the match – and I was like that for maybe 10 minutes. And then I started thinking about the next match,” Andreeva commented about her success, as reported by the WTA press service.

In the quarter-finals of the Brisbane tournament, Mirra Andreeva will face Czech tennis player Linda Noskova.
