Russian tennis player Vladislav Ivanov has been disqualified for four years for violating the anti-doping program, reports the press service of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
On September 14, 2022, during a tournament in Morocco, Ivanov was asked to take a urine test during the competition, and he refused to do so, leaving the tournament site. Although the player later returned to provide a sample, he was charged with an anti-doping rule violation.
Ivanov, 24, who had a world singles record of 835th as of September 2022, requested a hearing before an independent tribunal. The hearing was held remotely in November 2023.
An independent court found Ivanov’s behavior to be intentional and imposed a four-year ban on him, from December 21, 2023 to December 20, 2027.
