Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova announced via her social networks her refusal to participate in the WTA tournament in Adelaide. The reason for this decision was an injury suffered during a previous competition in Brisbane and his desire to better prepare for the upcoming Australian Open.

In the 1/16 final match in Adelaide, world number 28 Potapova was scheduled to meet Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko, ranked 32 in the WTA rankings.

Earlier at the WTA tournament in Brisbane, Anastasia Potapova reached the quarterfinals, where she lost to the fourth racket in the world, Elena Rybakina. After losing the first set with a score of 1:6, Potapova decided not to continue the fight.
