Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova withdrew from the tournament in Adelaide, Australia due to injury.
Earlier, the Russian was injured at a tournament in Brisbane during the quarter-final match against Kazakh Elena Rybakina.
“I have really tried to prepare for Adelaide, but due to the injury I received in Brisbane, I will have to withdraw from the competition in order to be healthy for the tournament in Melbourne. My team and I will do everything to prepare for the Australian Open,” Potapova wrote on social media.
In the first round of the Adelaide tournament, which begins on January 8, Potapova was scheduled to meet Ukrainian Lesya Tsurenko.
