Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic said it is not usual in his team to discuss the subject of possible retirement, and also drew a comparison with Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger.
Djokovic is 35 years old, he is the winner of 88 ATP singles tournaments, 21 Grand Slam tournaments. The Serb holds the record for the longest stay on the front row of the world rankings – 373 weeks.
– I hope the length of my career can be half of Jagger’s because it’s hard to expect that I can play tennis at 78. Sure, I could sing at that age – but not act.
Despite this, I have no time limit on how long I will play tennis professionally. Everyone in my team knows it’s a taboo subject, I don’t want an opinion imposed on me. The career must go on – especially if I can win Grand Slam tournaments – quoted Djokovic B92 .
