The meeting with the duet Alexandra Sosnovich / Katerina Sinyakova did not take place
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok reached the semi-finals of the doubles tournament WTA 500 in Australian Adelaide.
Kichenok is paired with Elena Ostapenko from Latvia. In the quarterfinals, the Ukrainian-Latvian tandem was supposed to fight the duet Alexandra Sosnovich / Katerina Sinyakova, but the meeting did not take place.
At the start of the event, Kichenok and Ostapenko beat Jasmine Paolini and Lyudmila Samsonova. In the semi-finals, Lyudmila and Elena will play against the winner of the confrontation between Angelica Moratelli / Samantha Murray – Caroline Garcia / Kristina Mladenovic.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian-Latvian tandem has a streak of six matches won in a row (including the game against Sosnovich and Sinyakova). Also, Kichenok and Ostapenko won the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane in 2024.
