Eight Russian tennis players were seeded at the 2024 Australian Open, according to the official tournament draw released on website tournament.
There are three Russians among the men’s seeds – Daniel Medvedev (3), Andrei Rublev (5) and Karen Khachanov (15). The Serbian became the first seed Novak Djokovic .
In the women’s portion of the competition, the seeded group included: Lyudmila Samsonova (13), Daria Kasatkina (14 years old), Veronika Kudermetova (15 years old), Ekaterina Alexandrova (17 years old) and Anastasia Potapova (23 years old). Iga Szwiatek from Poland has the status of the first racket of the tournament.
The 2024 Australian Open will take place from January 14 to 28. The draw for the main stage of the tournament will take place on Thursday, January 11.
