Among the men, three Russians obtained seeded status: Daniil Medvedev (3rd), Andrey Rublev (5th) and Karen Khachanov (15th).
Among the women, five representatives from Russia were seeded: Lyudmila Samsonova (13th), Daria Kasatkina (14th), Veronika Kudermetova (15th), Ekaterina Alexandrova (17th) and Anastasia Potapova (23rd).
The first main draw matches of the Australian Open will begin on January 15.
