The world’s first racket Novak Djokovic said he wasn’t feeling his best ahead of the Australian Open opening match.
On Sunday, the Serb defeated Croatian Dino Prizmic in the first round of the Australian Open – 6:2, 6:7 (5:7), 6:3, 6:4.
“I have been a little ill for four or five days. You can probably hear it in my voice. It’s like that. We must overcome this, accept the current circumstances and try to make the best of them.
The team and I will discuss whether I might miss tomorrow’s field practice. Maybe I will work in light mode: gym, jogging, some specific exercises to stay in shape.
Last year I didn’t train at all between matches. Then there were different circumstances, because I was injured,” Djokovic said according to Tennis Majors.
In the next round, Djokovic will face Alexei Popyrin or Mark Polmans (both Australians).
