Athletistic / Tennis. 16-year-old Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva commented on the reaction of Scot Andy Murray after his victory in the 3rd round of the Australian Open against Frenchwoman Diane Parry. The match ended with a score of 1:6, 6:1, 7:6 (10:5) in favor of the Russian.

In the deciding set, Mirra came back with a score of 1:5.

Murray praised Mirra during the match and called her a “winner” on social media. The Scot also highlighted the psychology of the 16-year-old tennis player.

Mirra Andreeva became only the 4th tennis player in 30 years to qualify for the second week of AO and Wimbledon before her 17th birthday.

“I didn’t think he would watch my match and then comment on something else. I’m going to try to print his quote and put it in a frame. And then I’ll take it with me. Maybe I’ll hang it on the wall.

Honestly, I didn’t expect him to do something like that after this match,” the tennis player said at a press conference.

Mirra previously admitted that Murray was her idol.
