Svitolina beat Golubic in two sets and reached the 1/8 finals of the Australian Open 2024

At the next stage, the first racket of Ukraine will meet with the sensational Linda Noskova

The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina made it to the fourth round Australian Open 2024confidently beating the Swiss Victoria Golubich.

It took Elina just over an hour to win. Her opponents tried hard and managed to win twice on the Ukrainian’s serve, but Svitolina generally showed a higher class and did not allow her advantage to be doubted.

A two-fold advantage in points at the first reception, five used break points out of eight – and ultimately a convincing victory.

Svitolina became the third Ukrainian in the 1/8 finals of the AO-2024. Previously, Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremskaya made it to this stage. For the first time, more than one Ukrainian tennis player will play at this stage of the Australian Open.

In the fourth round, Svitolina will face the young Czech Linda Noskova, who sensationally knocked out the world number one Iga Sventek from the tournament.
