Tuesday, January 23, the Australian Open marks the first day of the women’s and men’s singles quarterfinals. In the women’s tournament, special attention is paid to the match with the participation of Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenka, who, after the departure of the world’s first racket Iga Swiatek, is considered the main contender for victory in Melbourne. Arina’s opponent will be 9th-seeded Czech tennis player Barbora Krejcikova, who was 11th in the WTA rankings before entering the Australian Open.

Then the Belarusian tennis player snatched a ticket to the final of the tournament from her opponent – 7:5, 4:6, 6:3.
At the current Australian Open, Sabalenka, 25, has yet to lose a single set to her opponents. Arina allowed only one game to the German Seidel (6:0, 6:1), and to the Ukrainian Tsurenko she scored two shots (6:0, 6:0). A similar struggle was observed in the matches of the Belarusian tennis player against the Czech Frukhvirtova (6:3, 6:2) and the American Anisimova (6:3, 6:2). In general, Arina is on fire at the tournament in Melbourne and, of course, is considered the favorite for the confrontation with Krejcikova.
As for 28-year-old Barbora’s performance at the current Australian Open, the Czech tennis player finished almost all of her matches with a score of 2:1. Including during the 1/8 final match, where Krejcikova broke the resistance of our still very young star Mirra Andreeva (4:6, 6:3, 6:2).
