The Ukrainian tennis player continues to perform successfully in the first Grand Slam tournament of the season.
Dayana Yastremskaya reached the semifinals of the Australian Open 2024. In the quarterfinals of the Australian major, the main sensation of the women’s tournament bracket won in two sets against the 50th racket of the world from the Czech Republic, Linda Noskova.
For Yastremskaya this will be the first semi-final of a Grand Slam tournament in her career. Dayana repeated the success of Elina Svitolina in the competitions of this series.
Additionally, Yastremska became the first Ukrainian tennis player to reach the semi-finals on the Melbourne courts, and only the second tennis player to qualify in the Open Era to play in the semi-finals of an Australian major.
