Medvedev (3rd seed) defeated Zverev with a score of 5:7, 3:6, 7:6 (7:4), 7:6 (7:5), 6:3. The meeting lasted 4 hours 18 minutes. The Russian reached the final of the Australian Open for the third time in his career, where he will play alongside Italian Jannik Sinner (4).

Medvedev has already made the Australian Open final in 2021 and 2022, but lost both times.
