Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya failed to reach the quarter-finals of the Lausanne tournament, losing to Serbian representative Olga Danilovich.
After giving the first set to her opponent, who occupies the 124th position in the WTA rankings, the Russian then managed to win the second set. Kalinskaya had match point in the third leg, but ultimately lost three games in a row, and with them a set and a game.
In the next meeting, Danilovic will play with Simona Walter from Switzerland, who received a wild card from the organizers.
