Athletistic / Tennis. Former world number one, Russian Maria Sharapova, reacted to Italian Jannik Sinner’s victory at the 2024 Australian Open. In the final, he defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev in five sets.
“I knew one day you would regret this. Congratulations, Champion! Patience, composure and class,” Sharapova wrote, attaching an old video of her dancing with Sinner to her post.
Jannik Sinner lost to Daniil Medvedev in the first two sets of the final of the Melbourne tournament, but then managed to turn the tide of the match and won the final victory. Note that for the Russian, this was the third defeat in the final of the Australian Open. Previously, he lost in the tournament’s deciding matches in 2021 (against Novok Djokovic) and 2022 (against Rafael Nadal).
