WTA ranking: Ukrainian women set a record

Our tennis players have been significantly added to the updated list of the best athletes from the Women’s Tennis Association.

For the first time in history, five Ukrainian women entered the top 35 best tennis players in the world. This is confirmed by the updated WTA rankings. Thanks to their performance at the Australian Open, Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya, Angelina Kalinina and Lesya Tsurenko found themselves in the top 35.

Svitolina returned to the top 20 and now occupies 19th place, Kostyuk updated his personal record – 28th place, Yastremskaya made a jump of 64 positions and is now th -29, Tsurenko improved by 2 places – now 31st. Lesya was followed by Kalinina – 32nd.

Ukraine now shares 2-3 places with the Czech Republic in terms of the number of players in the top 35. The leader of the rating remains the representative of Poland Arina Sabalenko.
