Former world number one Andy Murray said he has no plans to end his sports career in the near future.
In January, the 36-year-old Briton failed to overcome the first round of the Australian Open, losing to Argentine Thomas Echeverri with a score of 4:6, 2:6, 2: 6.
“Am I dishonoring my heritage? Yes, I am currently at a terrible point in my career. Most people in my situation would give up and quit tennis. But I’m not like that and my mind works differently. I won’t leave. “I will continue to fight and work to get back to the level that I think I am still capable of showing,” Murray wrote on his social media page.
Murray is a winner of three Grand Slam singles tournaments and a two-time Olympic champion. The Briton ranks 49th in the ATP rankings.
