The leader of the world doubles ranking did not skimp on compliments to his Ukrainian colleagues

Krajicek did not skimp on compliments to the Ukrainian tennis players:
“I thought these guys played incredible and it was a lot of fun. It was really cool to compete with them. I think their whole team is very talented and they gave it their all. We had several difficult matches. Overall it was a great match and it’s great that we won it in three games.”

“It’s always different when you play for your country. It seems to me that ratings are going by the wayside. We’ve spent enough time together to understand that no matter what a player’s rating is, sometimes he will play perhaps above his level.”
“Winning the Davis Cup is one of our main goals this year. Austin and I will be playing together in this tournament and hopefully in the Olympics. Our two huge goals are to compete for our country and represent the USA together, because we are also good friends,” said Rajeev.
33-year-old Krajicek is the leader of the ATP doubles ranking at the end of 2023, the winner of Roland Garros 2023 in doubles.
