Russian Diane Schneider returned to the top 100 of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, reports the organization’s press service.
The representative of Russia rose 35 places and now occupies 73rd place on the list.
On Sunday, 19-year-old Schneider won the tournament in Hua Hin (Thailand), defeating the Chinese Zhu Lin in three sets (6:3, 2:6, 6:1) and won the first WTA trophy of her career .
There were no changes in the top ten of the ranking – the representative of Poland, Iga Szwiatek, retains the lead. Also among the top three are Arina Sabalenka from Belarus and Cori Gauff from the United States. The best Russian remains Daria Kasatkina (14th).
