Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova rose from 79th to 63rd place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website on Monday.
Last week, 21-year-old Potapova reached the semi-finals of the Lausanne tournament. Daria Kasatkina retained 12th place in the standings and remains Russia’s top racket. Veronika Kudermetova moved up one position and is now 18th, Ekaterina Alexandrova also moved up one line, taking 28th place.
The top of the ranking is held by the Polish Iga Sventek, who is ahead of the Estonian Anette Kontaveit and the Greek Maria Sakkari.
